FreemasonInformation.com Newsletter

    January 5th, 2008

Welcome to 2008...

Welcome to the 2008 inaugural newsletter of FreemasonInformation.com.  First, let me say thank you for your interest in this newsletter, and your dedication to Freemasonry, without your continued visits this site would not be possible.

At the end of 2007, FMI underwent its third makeover and so far it’s been a hit as more pages are reaching more readers.  This is great news as more and more people are showing an interest and discovering what Freemasonry is all about.  One exciting key component just added this year is a new Masonic FAQ, which is our solitary attempt to try and encapsulate some of the most frequently asked questions about the Fraternity.

Another exciting feature new to the site is the inclusion of the latest headlines from the News and the Blogosphere right on the main page.  As the news hits, FMI will source it and post it to aggregate it all into one place for you.  To top that off, you can search the web right from the site.  We hope this makes your experience all the more valuable.

Lastly, look for some exciting features in the next month or so including contemporary interviews with some of Freemasonry’s notables, and a new live call in program to discuss all things Masonic.  Watch the new FMI calendar for details!

Thanks again for your support and dedication to the fraternity and to this site.  I look forward to interacting with you as the year progresses.

Warmly and Fraternally,

Br. Greg Stewart

First Degree Masonic Tracing Board

This is a modern representation of the First Degree Masonic Tracing Board.  Created in a new modern medium of digital technology, the tracing board’s principal focus is the initiation of man and the start of his initiated journey.  See the illustrated initiation as never before.

Second Degree Masonic Tracing Board

This is the second in the series of the Modern Tracing Board.  In this Second Degree Masonic Tracing Board we see the initiate looking not upon a landscape or building cut away, but instead we see the process as it encompasses the self as the principals and lessons of the 2nd degree take hold and begin to make their internal transformation.

Look for the Third degree soon!

From the Edge by Tim Bryce

Each week Brother Tim Bryce from the region of the grand Lodge of Florida brings his own acute sensibility and thought out ideas to us in his missives “From the Edge of Freemasonry”.

If you haven’t already read them, I recommend you read his most recent weeks posts including:

Events Calendar

One of the more exciting inclusions to FMI is an events calendar.  The goal for the calendar is to post interesting events as they come to our attention so that we, the membership, can heighten our awareness of what’s going on and contribute, participate, and otherwise interact with the various layers of the fraternity.  If you have an upcoming lodge, or regional event that you want to broadcast to the world, drop me a note here with the specifics, and I’ll make sure it gets posted for as wide an audience as possible.

I mentioned this already, but keep your eyes posted for an announcement of an exciting new program of audio interviews that are guaranteed to elevate your excitement towards the fraternity.  Specific live events will be posted on the calendar, and announced here in this newsletter, and watch for a special webpage with links to all of the latest pod-casts.
