Great post,
Can I have your permission to use it on our Lodge website as Masonic Education?
Dan J.
Thanks for the laugh.
My lodge has been blessed by a series of excellent cooks and a great Eastern Star chapter that cooks, serves and cleans up our meals. All for $10 a plate. I’m particularly grateful for the E.S. as I am Junior Warden this year.
We are a lucky lodge when it comes to our meals. You won’t find a fatter lodge in the district. We even use actual plates and silverware.
Perfect, absolutely perfect.
Can’t say I have that problem at my lodge! It was funny! Our meals are great they are catered and they were free for over 150 years! Now we pay $5.00. We have a band for music(organ, 2 elec. guitars & banjo sometimes other instruments to,Shriners like music!) and we have young and old members. From what I read some lodges seem pretty bad. We get about 100+ brothers not counting the officers. Depends on the weather. Old chaps don’t like ice!
One of the funniest posts I’ve read in a long time. I’m putting on Past Masters Night in October, and we’re gonna have real table cloths with a nice center piece, the real Masonic plates and silver ware, AND (are you ready?), I’m shooting for round tables, rather than the long boring prison dining room ones we’ve had since 1962. Catered meal, GM in attendance, and we’re paying for the whole thing. We just gotta remember not to go too long. “We can’t be eating too late”, is something I was told…
